Member (Finance), Prasar Bharti Board and Eastern Chief Labor Commissioner (Central) Shri DPS Negi, Deputy Labor Welfare Commissioner Shri Niranjan Kumar, DGL W Division of Labor and Welfare, Deputy Director General Dr. Omkar Sharma, Regional Labor Commissioner (Headquarters) was attended by the State President of Indian Railway Goods Warehouse Workers Yumyan and Member of the State Level Consultative Society of the Ministry of Food, Government of India, Member of the Railway Zone Advisory Committee, Member of the Telecom Advisory Committee and renowned philanthropist Dr. Parimal Kanti Mondal, Vice President of the organization Mr. Indusekhar Chakraborty along with Central Committee members and labor representatives from railway freight warehouses in various states of India.
As a result of MGSU's long struggle movement, these workers got various government facilities. Now, from government status to minimum wages, insurance, pension and provision of drinking water, rest rooms and toilets in warehouses, around one million railway warehouse workers across the country have benefited. We are affiliated with Skill India of Government of India to train Rail Freight Warehouse Operators to maintain healthy and safe working environment. This struggle will continue until Indian Railways recognizes these workers as railway workers.
Speaking on the occasion, the state president of the organization, Parimal Kanti Mandal, said that BR was against the exploitation of these railway goods warehouse workers since the time of British rule.
