Community Welfare Initiative 2026 Promotes Health Awareness and Social Responsibility in Kolkata।।

A day-long social welfare programme titled “Janakalyan Seva Karyakram–2026” was successfully organized by Karma Social and Welfare Trust in collaboration with Krishnapur Sporting Club, setting a remarkable example of health awareness, humanitarian values, and social responsibility.
The event commenced with a free medical check-up camp for local residents. This was followed by a health awareness seminar conducted by a team of doctors from Renaissance Hospital. The session was graced by the hospital’s Director, Dr. Ranjan Shrivastava, who delivered an insightful address on the importance of preventive healthcare and public awareness.
In the afternoon, a voluntary blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a total of 35 donors contributing to the noble cause. Later in the evening, meritorious students from the locality were felicitated for their academic achievements, encouraging the spirit of education among the youth.
Several distinguished personalities were present at the event, including Mr. Anil Kumar Das of Karma Social and Welfare Trust, former Health Department official Debashis (Deba) Ghosh, former Chief Architect Chinmoy Ghosh, eminent advocate Prasenjit Ghosh, along with Debashis Jana, Shivaji Singha Roy, Arun Hazra, Sayantan Basu, Somnath Chakraborty, Tirthankar Som, Mrinal Kanti Das, Debashis Lahiri, Susmita Sen, and Jasimuddin, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief organizer Mr. Anil Kumar Das stated that the primary objective of the programme was to promote public health, encourage voluntary blood donation, and inspire educational growth. He further assured that similar initiatives would be undertaken on a larger scale in the future.
With its strong message of humanitarian service, health awareness, and social unity, “Janakalyan Seva Karyakram–2026” received widespread appreciation and stands as yet another successful chapter in the ongoing community welfare efforts of Karma Social and Welfare Trust.
