"SHATRANJ KE HEROES 2026"

Digital Desk:- The "Third Shatranj Ke Heroes" event was held at The Bengal Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata. Organized by the All Bengal Chess Association, the event honored the accomplished players and veteran chess personalities of the state’s chess world.

The event was attended by Justice Kaushik Chowdhury of the Calcutta High Court, Grandmaster Surya Saha and Diptayan Ghosh, MLA Debashish Kumar, eminent journalist Debashish Dutta, senior lawyer Vikas Ranjan Bhattacharya, President of the Bengal Olympic Association Chandan Roychowdhury, renowned footballers Mehtab Hussain and Dibyendu Biswas.

West Bengal’s Grandmasters, International Masters, Commonwealth Champions and medalists of various international competitions who achieved significant success at the national and international levels in the 2024-25 season, as well as veteran chess organizers and eminent personalities.
