37th Industrial India Trade Fair (IITF) inaugurated at the famous Baghbazar public Durga Puja ground in Kolkata

The 37th Industrial India Trade Fair (IITF) was successfully inaugurated by the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BNCCI) at the famous Baghbazar public Durga Puja ground in Kolkata.




With an emphasis on supporting tribal businesses, strengthening MSMEs and honouring the rich history of trade and crafts in India, the event will continue till January 1. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Dr. Shashi Panja, Minister of State for Industries, Commerce and Enterprise and Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal; Former Governor of West Bengal and retired Justice Shyamal Kumar Sen; BNCCI Chairman Ritwik Das, Dr. Andrew Fleming, British Deputy High Commissioner, Dr. Debanjan Chakraborty, Director British Council, Registrar & OSD Jhargram University, Harihar Mandal WBCS Exe Spl Secy, Govt of West Bengal, also Ward Councillor; and other distinguished guests. Dr. Shashi Panja praised BNCCI’s 138-year tradition and strategy of planning trade fairs independently without the help of external agencies.





He emphasized the chamber’s focus on providing market access, training and growth opportunities for MSMEs, artisans and local businesses, which showcase its strong indigenous culture.




The fair witnessed a diverse range of participants, including notable brands and institutions. The fair showcased the industrial prowess of Bengal, with a particular focus on Murshidabad district. BNCCI’s efforts to support district-based businesses and artisans across West Bengal were evident, which encouraged inclusive industrial growth and regional empowerment.
