And this award has become a super hit in the first year, generating a huge response. As nearly 100 clubs have joined this new initiative, the entrepreneurs are overwhelmed.
Friends' leader Shuvojit Bose said that their aim is not only to honor the best puja, but also to bring new ideas and low-budget pujas on the same stage. He said, "We have not only honored big pujas, we have also honored low-budget and emerging and effort-based pujas. We are also going to bring small and large and domestic pujas on the same stage." This year, the initiative was started by awarding Sahabari in the 'Best Household Puja' category.
He expressed hope that more than 200 clubs will join this competition next year and there will be some more surprises with the awards in the new year.
