A book discussion program on Odia author Gourahari Das' short stories was held at Women's Christian College in Kolkata. The event was jointly organized by Nachiketa Foundation Trust, Bengali Department, and Anudita Translation Cell. Guests praised Gourahari's unique storytelling, which explores human feelings, contemporary issues, and societal themes.

Gourahari introduced his work, discussing the Bengali translation of his short story collections, "Kacher Putul aru Anyanya Galpa" and "Kanta aru Anyanya Galpa." Speakers included Dr. Chandrashekhar Hota, Secretary of Odisha Sahitya Academy; translators Ajit Kumar Patra and Professor Krishna Bhattacharya; and noted writers Arabinda Ray and Shyamal Bhattacharya.

Dr. Hota praised Gourahari's stories for capturing memories of the past, speaking about the present, and guiding the future. Shyamal Bhattacharya discussed the relationship between Odia and Bengali languages, while Arabinda Ray highlighted Gourahari's storytelling features.

The program was welcomed by Jinia Ray, Head of the Bengali Department, and presided over by Professor Ajanta Paul, Secretary of the college. Dr. Surojit Behara delivered concluding remarks, and Safalya Nandi proposed the vote of thanks. The event was coordinated by Kshetrabasi Naik and attended by many eminent writers and literature enthusiasts. Dr. Chandana Majumdar and Suchandra Bhaduri facilitated the felicitation of guests.
