Kolkata :- 'Brindaban Matri Mandir', like other years, this year also awarded scholarships to financially backward students. On Sunday, August 20, 41 students from different districts were given a one-time sum of Rs. 10,000. These include photojournalist Roni Roy and Pinky Roy Memorial Scholarships also former Chief Minister Prafulla Chandra Sen Memorial Scholarship on behalf of West Bengal Sarvodaya Trust etc.
A total of Rs 4,10,000 scholarships were awarded this year. This initiative of the 114-year-old Durga Puja Committee is in its ninth year.
On this occasion, a three-day photography exhibition was also organized at Shrimani's house.
Trinamool Congress State General Secretary and Spokesperson Kunal Ghosh, West Bengal Government Finance Department Joint Commission Anupam Halder, Amherst Street Police Station Officer-in-Charge Pulak Dutta, Social Worker Sanjay Roy, Dancer Indrani Gupta and others were present in this beautiful event.
