World Mix Boxing Championship concludes; Team India emerges winner



Srinagar, May 07: 
The second World Mix Boxing Championship 2023 played at S K Indoor Sports Stadium Srinagar which is organized by Indian Mix Boxing Federation, an affiliate of World Mix Boxing Federation, concluded today with Team India including men and women emerging as winners while as Sri Lanka and Nepal bagging second and third positions respectively. Team Bangladesh also participated in the event. 

Member Haj Committee of India & DDC Member Engineer Aijaz Hussain was guest of honor on the occasion.

The grand  function had started with customary performance by a professional band & the folk music. Teams from many countries are participated in the event.  

Speaking on the occasion, Er Aijaz said that the J&K administration has invested huge amount on sports infrastructure to explore the hidden talent of the youth. “Not just the local but players from many countrie are excelling in various sports categories and  enjoying the best sports infrastructure available. 

Er Aijaz distributed the medals and trophies among the winners and runner ups. He said that Kashmir has indeed emerged as the best and favourite tourism destination but also the world's best sports destination as well. In the months ahead, Er Aijaz said that more national and international teams are expected to participate in  sports activities in Kashmir. On the occasion,  DFO Awantipora Waseem Farooq was the Guest of Honour.
