Digital Desk, Kolkata, April '23:- The sixth photo exhibition and competition of the 'Calcutta Journalists Club' concluded with the prize distribution ceremony in the presence of several dignitaries including one of the Mayoral Councilors and MLAs of Calcutta Municipal Corporation Debashis Kumar.This international level exhibition and competition has been going on since April 7 at ICCR abbreviated as 'Indian Council for Cultural Relations'.
Apart from Debashis Kumar, actress Isha Saha, Asha Audio CEO Divendushekhar Lahiri along with the company's president, editor and treasurer were also present on the award distribution stage.
President of Calcutta Journalists' Club Prantik Sen said, "About 800 photographs from different parts of the country and abroad came to participate in the exhibition. After screening, the exhibition was running with about 350 photographs received from 144 applicants."
Imankalyan Sen, secretary of the organization along with the president, said, "This exhibition is the result of hard work of several members including the treasurer of our organization for the past three months.
The exhibition had competitions in four separate disciplines namely Black and White, People and Street, Nature and Landscape and Wild Life. Ten from each category. In addition to giving awards, one has received the best of the best."
It is good to say that apart from the prize, every contestant who participated in the competition was given a memento and certificate.
Dipankar Pal got the first prize in the black and white category, Anupam Halder got the sixth prize in the nature and landscape category. Also awarded were Tarun Roy among others.
