Digital Desk, Kolkata :- Barwari Vrindavan Matri Mandir in Sukiya Street, North Kolkata started their 113 year Durga Puja preparations with Khoti Puja. The tradition of Khoti Puja is very old and it is through this ritual that Durga Puja begins. The auspicious start of making Puja pandal starts with this Khotipujo. Months in advance, Khotipujo heralds the arrival of Sharadotsav. This auspicious moment of falling the kathi in Dhaka has become an integral part of the festival of Bengali life. Like every year, this year also saving money from their puja budget, entrepreneurs gave a total Rs 4,00,000.
10,000 scholarships to 40 needy talented students from different parts of the state. This scholarship was started with 5 people and today it has become 40 people and hopefully it will increase in the future. One of these scholarships is dedicated to the memory of our beloved late photojournalist Roni Roy and his wife Pinky Roy.
