The Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata is set to enter a new decade of excellence, with the 11th edition scheduled for "December 20, 2026", at the iconic Red Road. Organised by "Procam International", the World Athletics Gold Label race will open registrations for both physical and virtual categories from "7:00 a.m. on August 13".
Celebrating the theme "Aamar Kolkata. Shonar Kolkata.", the event continues to promote fitness, healthy living, women's participation, and community development while strengthening Kolkata's position as a global sporting destination.
West Bengal Sports Minister >Dr. Indranil Khan 👉 said the marathon provides young athletes with an opportunity to witness world-class competition and inspires them to pursue excellence. Tourism Minister "Shankar Ghosh" added that the event showcases Kolkata on the international stage and reflects the city's vibrant sporting culture.
Tata Steel Vice President >D. B. Sundara Ramam👉said the race has grown beyond a sporting event into a movement that encourages healthier lifestyles and stronger communities. "IDFC FIRST Bank", the Associate Sponsor, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that inspire determination and personal growth.
Football legend "Padma Shri Bhaichung Bhutia" and actress "Swastika Dutta" encouraged people, especially youngsters and women, to embrace running and active living.
This year's edition welcomes "AMARON" as the "Powered by Partner" and "Air India Express" as the "Airline Partner". Air India Express has introduced a special "Runner's Passport", offering participants flight discounts of up to 20% using the code RUNCCU, along with baggage management services on race day.
Among the new attractions are the 'Medal of Steel' for all 25K finishers, a special Race Bib for first-time runners, the Home Run Squad initiative for families, and dedicated registration windows for youth (18–21 years) and senior citizens (65+).
On-ground registrations for all race categories will remain open until **November 27, 2026**, while virtual race registrations will continue until **December 11, 2026**, subject to the availability of slots.
