The 46th edition of the Inter-Unit Golf Tournament organised by the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board concluded at the historic Royal Calcutta Golf Club, with golfers from major public sector oil and gas companies competing over two days of intense yet spirited play.
Hosted by GAIL (India) Limited and executed by the New Delhi-based event firm Concept Conferences, the tournament brought together players representing companies including Oil India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
The closing ceremony was attended by Shri Pushkar, Zonal CGM (Kolkata), Mrs Sabeena Chowdhary, Member Secretary, PSPB, and Sunil Kumar Meena, Chief General Manager (HR), GAIL, who presented trophies and prizes to the winners.
Golfers from Oil India Limited dominated several categories, with Guntas Kaur Sandhu (OIL) emerging as the standout performer of the tournament. She clinched multiple honours including *Best Golfer of the Tournament**, **Best Gross over 18 Holes*, *Best Golfer Gross Score over Two Days*, and the *SN Bhatt Trophy for Best Nett Score over Two Days*.
In the individual contests, *Sukhman Singh (OIL)* won the *Putting Competition* and also secured the *Longest Average Drive (Men)* title, while *Vinamra Anand (OIL)* claimed the *Longest Drive in the Men’s Category*. Among the women competitors, *Guntas Kaur (OIL)* excelled with victories in the *Longest Drive*, *Longest Average Drive*, and both *Bunker Shot* categories.
In the pitching contest, *Kanav Chauhan (OIL)* took the award for *Best Average Pitching Shot*, while *Naveen Kumar Kislay (IOCL)* won the *Best Pitching Shot*.
The **Stableford competition**, played in a modified scramble format followed by alternate shots, saw **H. C. Pant (GAIL)** and **Guntas Kaur (OIL)** claim the winner’s title, while the duo of **Sandip Deb (IOCL)** and **Nadeem Khan (BPCL)** finished runners-up.
Among the individual trophies, **Saloma Yomdo (OIL)** won the **PSPB President’s Trophy** for Board-level executives. **Surya Bhan Mall (GAIL)** captured both the **Gobain Trophy (19–24 handicap category)** and the **Best Nett Score over 18 holes**.
In the **Team Championships**, BPCL emerged as the **Nett champions**, with IOCL finishing runners-up. In the **Gross category**, **OIL-A** secured the winning team title, followed by **GAIL** as runners-up, while **OIL-B** finished second runners-up.
The tournament once again highlighted the strong sporting culture within the petroleum sector and reinforced the role of PSPB in promoting competitive sports and camaraderie among its member organisations.
