Festivals are meant to bring people together and the joy doubles when shared. As the city of joy- Kolkata, gears up for the biggest festival- Durga Puja, India’s leading telecom operator Vi is embracing the spirit of inclusivity with a special initiative – BeSomeone’sWe: Eka Noye, Achhe Sobai.

In line with Vi’s recent campaign- BeSomeone’sWe, that urges everyone to make people feel included, loved and cared for, the Durga Puja initiative- ‘Eka Noye, Achhe Sobai’ under the theme BeSomeone’sWe, seeks to spread the same message.  Vi seeks to spread happiness amongst the residents of Old Age Homes and Orphanages of Kolkata, so that they don’t feel left out and lonely.

As part of the initiative, on Tritiya- the Third day of Durga Puja, Vi in a heartwarming gesture, ushered in the spirit of Puja to the elderly of an Old Age Home. Vi organized Live Streaming of prominent Puja Pandals for more than 100 residents of the Old Age Home, who were unable to visit the Puja pandals. This allowed them to experience the celebrations from the comfort of their residence. This was followed by a special lunch, doubling the joy and festive atmosphere. Vi also distributed gifts to all the residents to make their celebrations even more memorable.

Extending the Puja celebrations to the children of orphanage homes, Vi has planned a special activity on Chaturthi- the fourth day of Durga Puja celebration. As part of the initiative, Vi will organize a joyful pandal hopping experience for children from orphanage homes, in a specially branded bus. The day will be filled with excitement and festivities as they explore different Pujo pandals. The kids will also be treated to a Sumptuous Bhog, ensuring they have a delightful Puja celebration that they will cherish.

Extending his Puja Greetings to the residents of Kolkata, Naveen Singhvi, Cluster Business Head, East, Vodafone Idea said, “The biggest festival in Bengal that celebrates the victory of good over evil, Durga Puja is celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm across the state. During this auspicious festive period our initiative has been to practice inclusion and togetherness as per the cadence of Vi’s latest campaign, BeSomeone’sWe. We urge every citizen to do their bit and bring a little joy to someone, during Puja 2023. Together, we can ensure that everyone has a Happy Durga Puja and no one in feels left out or lonely”.

‘Be Someone’s We: Eka Noye, Achhe Sobai’ reflects the collective effort to extend the joy and warmth of Durga Puja to those who may be deprived of it due to various circumstances. It underscores the commitment of Vi to share the spirit of togetherness and inclusivity with all members of society.
