News Desk,Kolkata :- Bunaphile, the popular heritage cafe located at Hindustan Park, recently hosted a high-tea session to showcase its Mango Festival which is on till 30th June, was an informal kick-off to the culinary extravaganza celebrating mangoes in their different avatars. Bunaphile’s Mango Festival arrives at the peak of summer and mango season – enough reasons for patrons to go crazy! Let’s look at what’s on the platter in this mango-filled food journey:
The summer menu gets a great start courtesy of coolers like Mango & Coffee (INR 209), Mango Freak Shake (INR 289), Mango Yogurt Shake (INR 249), Chatakdar Kacha Aam Mojito (INR 229), and a refreshing Mango Cooler (INR 149). Thinking healthy? Mango Oats Bowl (INR 289) and Grilled Chicken in a Chili Mango Sauce, served on a bed of Mashed Potatoes with her Ed rice and mango salad (INR 389) got you covered. Pork Chops with Mango Salsa (INR 389) continues this trend, replacing regular carbs with Khus Khus, with sauteed seasonal veggies and mashed potatoes in tow. The piece de resistance, however, is the Grilled Fish topped with a Chili Mango Glaze (INR 429), also served with mashed potatoes, but with a mango salad and garlic bread. But wait, there’s more! The sweet surrender incorporates mango-licious delights like a decadent Mango Mousse Cake (INR 249), the airy Mango Mania Waffle (INR 289), a rich Mango Cheesecake (INR 289), and the indulgent Mango Cupcakes (INR 49 each).
Sonika Dey, the founder of Bunaphile, was ecstatic while unveiling the Mango Festival, “Mango is the king of fruits, be it in South Asia or wherever you go.
